Therapeutic Fee-for-service Program

Therapeutic Fee-for-service Program

KIDS HUB offers distinct, on-demand, specialized therapeutic services in addition to its standard daycare offerings.
Child enrolled in our standard childcare are not automatically provided these services unless a parent or guardian specifically purchase them. The specialized services are provided by independent partners in collaboration with our Centre.
A child would have to be formally assessed, diagnosed and treatment plan prescribed by a clinician before the service model would be delivered.

Service Descriptions
Our specialized, fee-for-service treatment program - is designed to support children with a range of developmental disorders, including those affecting language, behavior, metabolism, and degenerative conditions. These developmental disorders are often identified as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and others.

Guided by empathy and clinical expertise, our team of consultants employs innovative, evidence-based strategies tailored to each child's unique needs. Regardless of the nature or severity of a disability, our skilled clinicians can significantly enhance the ability of children with identified disabilities to live, work, and fully engage in their community.

Service Scope -Therapeutic Fee-for-Service Program

Behaviour Therapy
Supporting children to create positive behavioural change

Our Behaviour Therapy team helps people with developmental disabilities across the lifespan to develop meaningful skills and reduce challenging behaviours at home or in the community. In partnership with the children and adults we serve and their caregivers, we focus on person-centred service delivery, identifying meaningful goals, prevention and skill-building for daily life. Services may include assessment, consultation, intervention and/or group-based approaches.
Additionally, Behaviour Therapy services are typically provided using a mediator model approach. This approach creates positive change by providing training and support to caregivers of people with developmental disabilities.

Speech-Language Pathology Services
Making communication goals and development needs more attainable

Children with speech and language challenges require specialized support to meet their communication and development needs. Our Speech-Language Pathologists provide clinical speech and language services to people of all ages, albeit with a focus on those below the age of 6.

We offer assessment to our clients in order to identify communication goals, develop recommendations and provide caregiver training.
The primary focus of Speech Language Pathology Service is language development, both receptive (e.g., understanding) and expressive (e.g., speaking, signing, Augmentative & Alternative Communication systems).

Transitions Services
Emotional and navigation support in moments of change.

Any kind of transition requires unique social, communication, behavioral, and educational strategies. Our Transition Services is a specialized program that supports these complex and crucial situations through customizable, comprehensive, and interdisciplinary services. Our Transition Coordinators work directly with schools and school boards to facilitate the transition of children with identified needs from our program into the school system. They provide the receiving school with clinical services, tools, and resources to ensure a successful outcome during this period of change. We actively involve family members and care providers in this process, carefully planning and implementing client-centered strategies to enable a smooth transition for the children.
